Did Max have to work for this victory??? Or was it a gift from his teammate??? Or better yet, a gift from championship rival Charles Leclerc???

Max Verstappen wins in Spain for the 4th time this season. Teammate Sergio Perez finished in a reluctant second place, feeling hard done by his Red Bull Racing team as he thought he could have won the race had it not been for team orders.

These 1-2 Red Bull results made possible by an engine failure to Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari. Leclerc was comfortably in the lead of the race from lights out, and most certainly would’ve taken the victory had it not been for a reliability issue. Teammate Carlos Sainz managed a P4 results after a spin early in the race put him on the back foot.

George Russel continues his top 5 finishing streak in 2022 with his second P3 of the championship. Teammate Lewis Hamilton finished P5 after a lap 1 incident with Kevin Magnussen shuffled him down the order.
