If we want to see our communities, our society, our world shift from survival mode to thriving, we have to start with ourselves. Any work we do relationally has to start within our own internal worlds—the good news is that in creating the space for yourself to heal, you ultimately create the space for others to heal as well.

In this episode we talk about how to use meditation to establish a deeper connection with ourselves—to see what’s going on with the ego, the thoughts, the noise—and below it all, a resting sense of "self".

We dive into the importance of becoming familiar with our reactions and suppressed traumas so that we can greet them with compassion, gentleness, and understanding—instead of resistance, fear, dissociation, or suppression.

In doing so, we can learn to see our anxieties, frustrations, and triggers not as obstacles, but as portals to love and healing and begin to reintegrate all of our “parts”—many of which have only been trying to keep us safe.
