In this episode, we sit down with Robin Moore who is a Senior Technical Apparel Designer at Nike.  Robin takes us on a journey that spans from her roots as a hobby seamstress to her current role at Nike designing men’s golf apparel.

Robin discusses the evolution of her career, beginning from going to school for engineering and then quickly switching to pattern making once she learned she could turn her hobby into a career.

A central theme of this episode revolves around the impact technology has had on her career.  She describes the challenges and opportunities that emerged as technology revolutionized the industry and how she navigated these shifts, from embracing digital tools to staying resilient with all the changes.

As always, we are using the lens of Internal Family Systems (IFS) in our discussion.  In the interview we identify “parts” that come up with change and the fears that can prevent change from happening. As well as how Self energy can help us take courageous steps in trying something new.
