Patrick Foster 

In 2018, Patrick stood on a platform at Slough station, intent on completing suicide. In the preceding 12 years, he had placed bets totalling more than £4 million, and owed hundreds of thousands of pounds to banks, friends, parents of children he taught and pay-day loan companies.
