During the 1800s, the American West represented a place of unending possibilities. Manifest Destiny created the ideology that Americans possessed a divine and God-given right and duty to conquer, beat into submission, tame, and settle the American West. Despite violent Mexican gangs, savage Native tribes, rampant corruption, death, power, and absolute lawlessness, Americans flooded western lands - a terrifying place where life and death can turn on a dime.

During this time, famous lawmen and gunfighters rose to prominence. Men filled with guts of steel and true grit: Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday, Johnny Ringo, Wild Bill... These American legends possessed the exact cold heart and quick hands needed to survive in a land filled with sun-baked soil and the stench of death.
