At the end of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus' manifesto or constitution of the kingdom, his seemingly ominous and definitely sobering conclusion is yet another loving invitation to the good life. In the best sermon ever preached, Jesus doesn't want us just to walk out saying, "that was a great sermon." He invites us to so much more: to keep listening, keep practicing, and keep building our entire life on his good words.
