Do you believe that God is for you? Not just that he loves you, in an obligatory way, but that he is truly, deeply, and thoroughly for you? Not for you if you reach a certain level of spiritual maturity or theological clarity. But for you, right now, no matter where you are in your journey of following Jesus?

As we begin a series in Romans 8 and listen to Paul's pastoral words, he passionately and worshipfully attempts to convince us of this simple yet profound reality: "God is for us" (v. 31). He is for us in our past. He's for us in our present. And he's for us in our future.
