‘How To Touch a Lady’ tells a heartfelt tale about a young woman who shares a challenging relationship with a guy who doesn’t know how to touch her correctly. Apparently, she’s tired of her partner’s inability to satisfy her loneliness, and wants to know why he isn’t capable? Later, with a heavy heart, she politely addresses her companion, “Why do I try to did deeper in your life to make you that guy when you don’t make me feel alive?”

“I wrote ‘How To Touch a Lady’ when I was living and dating in NYC. When I write music, I usually pull from several different sources. But I actually wrote this song about a very specific situation that I had with a guy I was seeing. It just felt to me like he wanted to be somewhere else most of the time that we were together. I realized he didn’t really know how to connect with people beyond the surface. The end of the song is a culmination of that realization and also realizing that I didn’t need to constantly be feeling like I wasn’t enough. It’s critical to trust your instincts and your emotions when you’re dating and in so many other situations. And it’s something I work on every day.” – KATH explained
