Bere is an up-and-coming singer-songwriter and storyteller from Houston, Texas. Not too long ago, she released a lovely indie-pop tune, entitled, “Face 2 Face,” which tells a heartfelt tale about a young woman who is concerned about a very special person in her life. Apparently, the individual in question is trying hard to hold on to something that can’t be found at the present moment.
Therefore, she encourages the person to hold on to life and schedules a time for them to sit face-to-face to discuss things in greater detail. Later, during their conversation, she asks, “Tell me, please, are you happy where you’ve been? Are you happy where you’re running to? Tell me, please, ‘cause I know that there’s a place where you won’t have to hide your face anymore.”
“I wrote this song after difficulty experienced in a relationship and realizing that this other person and I had more in common than I thought. From that, came a desire to meet with them face-to-face and just talk it out. Also, it’s about the longing everyone has experienced during COVID to meet with loved ones face-to-face after a lot of time apart and the hope that we will all come out of this ok.” – Bere explained
