We all have that one person in our lives who has an innate ability to always see the glass as half full and who is always making lemonade out of the lemons life throws at them. Interestingly, these types tend to make others uncomfortable or even outright hostile. Why do most of us react this way to those “Pollyanna” types? It’s just that they’re so damn unrealistic! Right? Maybe not.
First said by Henry Ford and then brought to the world of pop psychology by Wayne Dyer, is a quote that aligns with this topic – “Whether you think that you can, or that you can't, you are usually right.” Basically it all comes down to perception and intention. What we expect is generally what we will get.
So then, if we intentionally recognize and live each moment as if it were indeed a sacred gift, would it not be? And conversely, if we believe much of our day-to-day activities are basically miserable or boring then is that not what we will create?
In this show we will be bringing this argument to light and showing you ways to bring appreciation, gratitude and the sacred mindset into your daily life. Our guest, neurosurgery nurse, Jonathan Negus, explains how he keeps his perspective and EMIS viewpoint alive and well even in the face of tragedy.
The impetus for this show was a recent podcast by Hay House author and Soul Coach, Denise Linn. She was speaking about a friend of hers who realized the sacredness of every moment only once she was facing a life-threatening health challenge. The way Denise presented this topic was beautiful, poetic and totally inspiring. So, with her permission we have decided to devote an entire show to the subject. Really now, are there many things more important than finding the true divinity in our daily lives?
