As Jacinda Ardern began a spiel on the global economic challenges during a speech at last night’s BusinessNZ conference - she told the packed room it may be time to pour another drink.
The Prime Minister acknowledged a raft of challenges squeezing the industry - including labour shortages, an energy price shock and inflation.
But she didn’t arrive empty handed - promising to introduce Resource Management Act reform within weeks, and hinting at progress towards a Latin America trade deal.
