Hundreds of nurses from whanau support organisation Plunket are walking off the job today - their CEO says reaching pay parity would mean a Government funding shortfall of over nine million dollars this year.

The workers are striking in a push to be paid 20% more - in line with nurses at Te Whatu Ora.
