It’s been quite a pause... but finally Hawkes Bay businesses were yesterday putting out the welcome mat again for cruise ship passengers after a more than 2 year hiatus. 

With some local businesses relying on cruise stops for up to a third of their income, it was little wonder one operator said she felt she could finally breathe again with the first of the big liners for the 2022-23 season pulling into the port of Napier.
