Terrorism laws have been strengthened in a bid to make it more difficult for people known to be threats to carry out attacks.

Cabinet launched a review following the stabbing at Lynn Mall last year, where the terrorist was known to authorities and at the time was under 24/7 police surveillance.

The tweaks to the law mean eligibility for terrorist designation is widening, and will not automatically expire without a review.
