It's no secret that New Zealand – like much of the developed world – has an ageing population. 

The baby boom is now a retirement boom, and it's raising a lot of questions about how well prepared we are as a country – in particular, whether the current superannuation settings are fit for purpose into the future.

Right now, roughly 60% of Kiwis aged 65 and over rely mostly or completely on their super. That's a statistic very much on the mind of the Retirement Commission, which has just released its 2022 Review of Retirement Policies this morning.
