One of Auckland’s hardest hit areas in this week’s flooding is West Auckland’s Titirangi, out near the dense Waitakere Ranges.

Many residents had to flee their homes over the weekend as water and mud pummelled through the community.

Some roads are completely cut off by slips, and many still have no safe water supply.
