Newshub has reported the Australian government will introduce major changes to 501 deportees by next month.

The Immigration minister’s office has confirmed it will take into account what connections people have with New Zealand and Australia before making the decision to deport.

But Filipa Payne, 501 deportee advocate, says these changes don’t go far enough.
