New South Wales is considering major gambling reform.

Under a new proposal all pokies in the state would become cashless by the end of 2028.

Gamblers would need to impose a mandatory weekly limit for money lost, and transfers from credit cards would be prohibited.

The state’s premier Dominic Perrottet says he hopes it will fix money laundering and problem gambling.
