Opinion: One of the things I love about Today FM is our dogged determination to examine things from different perspectives - sometimes with a degree of self-interest - today for example, in a few minutes, we’re looking at the rights of pet-owning renters from two different sides.

Convenient, given I was recently adopted by a stray cat and now find myself on the hunt for a new flat in a rental market pitted against pet owners. 

But even when I don’t have skin in the game, I love it. Hearing different arguments, being challenged and challenging others. My brain sponges it up...
