This is a really concerning story –  there’s been a dramatic drop in routine childhood immunisations.

Immunisation coverage at six months of age has fallen in Aotearoa from a high of around 80% in early 2020 to 67% by June of this year.

It’s part of a global trend – UNICEF and the World Health Organisation have also waded in on the global issue. 

Auckland University Pediatrics Researcher Anna Howe has been analysing some of the data, and is here to break it down for us.
