How do we solve our worker shortage?
If it was easy, surely the government would have done it by now?
In Fiordland, a survey of 32 businesses revealed they were short a combined 244 workers.
In its own right, that is an astonishing number. Many of them were having to close up shop for the weekends or for part of the working week.
How did it get to this? And is there a reprieve on the horizon?
