March 2023 is when the next census will take place.
It is used to take a snapshot of the makeup of New Zealand.
And who better to rally the troops than the best troop-rallier in the business - Dave 'Buttabean' Letele.
Letele is encouraging Kiwis to work as census collectors because it will help not only the individual, but also the wider community and future generations.
His goal is to get 3,500 people out delivering the census documents - which not only gets them involved in the community but gets people moving and walking too.
Speaking to Lloyd Burr, Buttabean explained what exactly he is doing.
