James Shaw once wore the hat of co-leader of the Green Party, which was knocked off after his leadership came under fire by the Young Greens, who were fed up with his inaction on climate change.

Salient Magazine revealed the pseudo coup d'état, a planned vote of no-confidence against Shaw at the party’s annual conference last month.

Lloyd Burr Live asked Shaw on Wednesday if he believes he will get the leadership hat back.

"I would say that I am quietly confident," said Shaw.
