Today we discuss whether or not there is something inherent to social justice centered media (movies, tv shows, books, blogs, journalism) that inevitably makes it bad. And if it doesn’t have to be bad, meaning we can find examples where something woke is high quality, then why exactly does so much of it torn out awful?

Three shows we’ll be talking about to start are Hulu’s Woke, HBO Max’s Love Life, and Paramount Plus’s Yellowstone. However listeners are encouraged to bring up any examples they think are relevant in any media category as an example of wokeness done well.
