On today’s show we have Sandi Brock, the woman behind the Sheepishly Me brand, business and screen. Sandi is a wife, a mother and a Canadian sheep and grain farmer. In 2012 she and her husband, Mark, ventured down an unplanned path when they decided to step away from farming with extended family, so they could instead make time and space to start a new adventure of building their very own sheep farm. Fast forward five years and Sandi found herself yet again venturing down another unplanned path when she decided to pick up a camera and start sharing her very raw and real journey as a new and inexperienced sheep farmer on YouTube for all the world to see. In this episode we cover:

  • The moment that kicked off Sandi’s growth on her YouTube channel
  • What she’s learned along her journey - not only about business, but about herself, too
  • The struggles that she faced and how she kept showing up despite them
  • The power of human connection
  • The value of continuing to be a consumer of your platform, not just a creator
  • The importance of monetizing your content creation and how she wishes she would have implemented ads sooner
  • How getting out of your comfort zone can open up amazing opportunities that you didn’t even know you wanted
