Growing up in Pittsburg, America: Coach Harris gives us a history lesson on how cool of a little town Pittsburg (no H) is and shares the story behind his nickname
The story of his longtime relationship with his HS football coach Steve Bragg who kicked him off the team is sophomore year but would still give him a ride when he needed it, and is someone he keeps in touch with to this day
Coach shares the stories of his time at Austin College including his signature Jordan cleats, playing Point Guard for an Intramural Basketball Dynasty, the village of Roos that watched over him and pushed him to graduate, and for a 4th time in a row an Austin College guest shares their favorite Coach Norman stories!
DeMarcus reflects on his coaching stops including the time he had his DC title ripped from him after a rough game against the Sherman Bearkats, and how that low point coupled with an 0-10 season at Richardson High were necessary to prepare him to take the Cedar Hill Longhorns all the way to state as their Defensive Coordinator!
Coach Harris and Kovo share in that they have been in charge of programs that have won a state championship in the past, and how DeMarcus has been working to remember that 2001 State Championship every single week
Finally Mace reflects on how a kid from a small East Texas town has had the good fortune of playing or coaching alongside so many future pros. I task him with the difficult task of picking which 4 of those young men he would choose to be alongside him with the State Title on the line.
