In 2020, we launched the first educational podcast in Armenia and Artsakh! Today, we are excited to share a new season that continues to explore topics in education nationwide. Our latest season is called #ASK and our first guest is Nerses Avetisyan.

In today's episode of the Teach For Armenia podcast, I was joined by Dr. Garik Israelian, astrophysicist and Co-Founder of the Starmus International Festival. During the meeting, we talked about Dr. Israelian’s journey, the development of Starmus, the future of AI, and solutions to some of the challenges facing Armenia.
We are also excited to share that 1,000 Teach For Armenia students from Armenia and Artsakh will have the chance to attend and meet world-renowned scientists at the Starmus Festival. This is all thanks to the generosity of the Adibekyan Family. More details coming up soon!

"I think it's difficult to understand your likes and dislikes as a child. For example, I don't remember whether I liked music or not. Family member play an important role in this exploration. They should be very consistent in raising their children to understand whether they like music, this or that branch of art, sports, or any other field," said Hayk Melikyan.
The hero of today's ASK is pianist Hayk Melikyan, an Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia, who shares his philosophy on life and the importance of education.
Listen to our #ASK of Little Star Charitable Fund Director Mariam Antonyan on the Teach For Armenia podcast! After the 2020 Artsakh war, Mariam and her colleagues created a brand called "Made in Kurtan" to raise awareness of Kurtan village.
"There is a big problem in our villages. Many people consider being born and raised in villages a disadvantage. As a result, many families aim to send their children to cities as soon as they are adults. Looking back, we are happy that the residents of Kurtan are proud to produce jackets in their village. They consider this their brand."

In this episode of our podcast, we #ASK the role of teachers. Blogger Hayk Mkrtchyan shares his views on the state of education in Armenia and Artsakh and the need for change. "I don't like our methodological approach to education and university structures. I constantly write about this on social media. Our response to changes in market demand is not adequate," said Hayk "There are no uninteresting sciences, there is no uninteresting information, there are only uninteresting ways of presenting them."

Teach For Armenia and Ayb Educational Foundation aim to join forces to increase educational opportunities across Armenia and Artsakh! In this episode of the Teach For Armenia podcast, Ayb student Erik Melikyan and Sarigyugh high school student Nina Rjazyan share innovative initiatives that they are implementing to improve their environment and communities.
In Sarigyugh, there is lime sediment in the village's drinking water. Nina and her classmates took action by installing water filters in their school building.
Meanwhile, at Ayb, Eric and his classmates developed a rescue device for mountaineers to orient themselves and contact emergency services. We are proud of our students and their brilliant ideas!
