One Person at a Time

I make content for one person at a time.

I have always written my pieces for one person at a time. I’ve always cared for the one person who “needed to hear that” when I communicate. Some might say that I’m not thinking big enough, or that what I do isn’t scalable enough to be 10x’d or mass-produced.

But to me, as one individual person, what does it matter if the message is 10x’d if it’s not for me first?

Recently, I outlined six things that someone can count on me for in a SHAREapy relationship. One of the points I’m most proud of is the one that says, “Many people are invested in your performance. I am invested in your spiritual health. While I care about your leadership and responsibilities, my primary concern is who you are becoming in Christ.”

Today, I got to see a glimpse of that paying off in real time for one of my friends.

Recently, I’ve been coaching him on his startup business, and he was in the middle of a pretty significant breakthrough. He achieved his first sales goal!

What happened next was fascinating.

As he reflected on the business win, he didn’t thank me for the business operations advice. He didn’t point to a tip or a piece of business experience I had shared.

Do you know the first thing he pointed out?

“You led me to a cleaner way of living and to becoming a truer version of myself that I didn’t know existed.”

What’s cool to me is that as he continues to grow spiritually, his leadership, his responsibilities, and his work will continue to flourish.

So I guess what I’m saying is that I hope I never try to 10x a relationship that needs to be personal.

How can we walk with one person at a time and make it scalable?

We don’t.

But we CAN make more people capable of walking with more people.

We can teach people to share their blessings and bruises so that more connection happens. More empathy happens. More “walking with others” happens.

To me, that’s only possible…

One person at a time.

Thank you for Liking, SHAREing and Supporting! 🫶🏽
