Meet Sophia Tabatadze - a Georgian visual artist working with film, drawing and installation currently based in Berlin. Her work has been exhibited worldwide, among others at the 52nd Venice Biennale and 10th International Istanbul Biennial.
On the podcast she sheds light on the making off her experimental documentary film 'Pirimze' that had it's premiere at Visions Du Réel in Nyon and tells a story of a Soviet building in Tbilisi and its capitalist afterlife. Sophia is also a co-founder of Mukao – a company that makes innovative products from corrugated cardboard as well as an organizer of the Grandmothers Film Festival, taking place in Rotterdam and Berlin every second year.
