In a day when quick answers, overnight solutions, and canned responses are the hope and desire, God’s plans often feel slow or non-existent. If it takes more than a few minutes or days to get direction and see results, we can feel like God doesn’t care or isn’t present. We want quick answers to questions like:What’s my purpose? What should I do about the difficult relationships in my life?Life isn’t fair. Why can’t I get a solution to this unfair life?Enter the life of Joseph. A man who was given a dream by God as a teenager only to see his life move in the complete opposite direction of that dream. Where was God? What was God’s plan? Is this still God’s plan? These and many others could’ve easily plagued Joseph as he was sold into slavery, then accused of a crime he didn’t commit, and confined to a prison cell. However, the Bible repeatedly says, God was with Joseph. But life wasn’t following Joseph’s dream or plan - or so it seemed. In this series we will discuss how to trust God’s plan when it seems to be taking longer than expected and in directions you never intended. When God has a plan for life the only thing necessary is time for God’s plan to come to complete fruition. God never left Joseph - God never leaves you. Through the life of Joseph we can learn how to see God in what feels like the detours to God’s plan, we can learn to rely on God in the valleys of God’s plan, and we can learn to trust God’s plan.
