It began when John Bell witnessed a strange, unnatural creature which vaguely resembled a dog. It ended with Bell’s death. In the sleepy town of Adams, Tennessee on a small family farm, one of the most infamous American paranormal events occurred over a period of four years. From late 1816 to 1820, the Bell family was tormented by an entity that came to be known as the Bell Witch. Together, they experienced horrors such as seeing phantom animals, ghosts, hearing disembodied sounds, enduring physical torments and illness and, if the legend is to be believed…the eventual murder of the family patriarch, John Bell Sr.
