Russian President Vladimir Putin often makes promises only to break them. Given what Putin has done in Chechnya, Georgia, Crimea, and Aleppo, the move to slaughter citizens who refuse to evacuate along "approved corridors" into waiting Russian cells and gulags is all too predicatable. His history reveals a pattern of behavior that ultimately determines his destiny. And it tells us something else about him...
