This is video two of the VR headset analogy series.
In the last video, I introduced you to my analogy that our experience in life is similar to us all wearing VR headsets. I talked through this analogy, but I want to go much deeper today and incorporate the Simulation Theory and the idea that life is but a dream.
VR Headset Analogy To quickly recap, I had a very powerful dream a year ago that ended when I took off the VR headset, and I felt incredibly free, like I awoke. Right at that moment, I woke up from the dream, and I was shaken for a little while.
My theory goes like this: everyone is wearing a VR headset. We are all in a Matrix, and each headset has a dial right on the side that you can turn from 1 to 10. And when you turn up to 10, you are turning on Pass-Through. If any of you guys have a VR headset where you can see out, it shoots cameras out, and it's basically like seeing in real life, somewhat like Augmented Reality versus Virtual Reality.
Everything Is Perfect So when you turn it up to 10, you see life for what it is, which is the accurate perfection of the world. Everything is perfect, and everything is working in your favor.
Check out our video on Holy Fire if you haven't seen that. Like in a multiplayer VR game, everything you do affects everyone else. But since each person is wearing their individual VR headset, we can not be sure how our actions influence other people.
For example, you might do something good for somebody, maybe at the frequency of a 10 of perfection, pure love, but the other person has their VR headset, their frequency, turned down at a one. So they will take that loving action to be terrible, maybe like a punch in the face.
Life Is but a Dream Now, I don't want to recap the entire video. Watch the previous video to catch up to where we are today.
Now Virtual Reality is a relatively new thing. So has this theory been around since before video games? Yes, it has. Do any of you guys know Row, Row, Row Your Boat? The very end of it is "life is but a dream."
Also, Edgar Allan Poe wrote an entire poem about life being but a dream within a dream.
I watched one of Leo Gura's videos from Actualized.org, and as he talks about this, he says that "To call reality a dream is the most accurate metaphor I've encountered so far."
Materialist Paradigm Deepak Chopra talks about this, and he says that people are questioning the Materialist Paradigm because as science gets better, people can now see that when you zoom in with a microscope to the very smallest thing that we can see, we are seeing that all of matter is energy, it's waves. They have no definite location in time and space.
Our very best science shows that life is not exactly what we expected. Wouldn't we expect to hit something solid eventually? But no, we are hitting waves, energy.
So let's talk about what the Materialist Paradigm is. The Materialist Paradigm is just looking at what is around you and assuming that the essence that it's giving off is true. The chair you're sitting on is a chair. The walls around you are walls, and the ground you're stepping on is ground. But in this Simulation Theory or this Virtual Reality idea, The Matrix, life is a Dream. You are saying that this is not exactly real.
You Are Not a Victim But here's where it's empowering rather than disempowering. If it's a dream, you can change it. If it's Virtual Reality, it's a game, and it's not real. You can stop taking life so seriously. And if you continue to watch the rest of our videos and get the essence of what we're trying to teach here, you are not a victim. If you believe you are a victim, you operate from a Materialist Paradigm.
If you believe that your actions directly influence others, or they directly influence you, you are operating from a Materialist Paradigm.
Dr. Joe Dispenza talks about how, when we live in a world of the Materialist Paradigm, we are so often trying to change a life, Matter To Matter. But that's not how you change a life. You change a life through the subconscious mind, intention, and expectation. Just trying to change things Matter To Matter does not leave lasting results. It will if, along the way, it changes your subconscious mind. But if you change Matter To Matter without changing your expectations, beliefs, or subconscious mind, it will go exactly back to how it was before.
Think of someone winning the lottery or someone who gets their stomach stapled. If they take that opportunity to change their real beliefs, they can stay rich or stay skinny. But if it's just changing Matter To Matter, it doesn't matter what happens, they will not see a lasting change.
Most lottery winners go back to exactly the amount of money they had before very quickly. And most people who get their stomach stapled or lost a lot of weight very suddenly go back to the way they were before because they never changed their expectations or beliefs.
Simulation Theory/The Simulation Argument Let's talk about Simulation Theory. I believe one of the first people who talked about Simulation Theory was Nick Bostrom.
This is the Simulation Argument: one of these three things must be true. Either all civilizations go extinct before reaching technological maturity, where they can run simulations like video games, but very advanced video games. Or technologically mature societies lose interest in Ancestor Simulations, which he calls these video game-type things. For some reason, they are not interested in running high-tech life simulations. Or number three, we are almost certainly living in a simulation.
Now, I'm not going to go too deep on this. If you're interested, go look up Nick Bostrom on YouTube to see The Simulation Argument, and it should be one of the first things that pop up.
But quite a few people genuinely believe that we live in a simulation. And one of those people is Elon Musk, and he made the Simulation Argument very popular by being a famous person who believed it.
Another interesting thing is that the Simulation Argument is very similar to the Fermi Paradox, which makes the same argument, but it's about aliens and why we don't see aliens.
Many people would say, does it matter if we're living in a simulation or not, or if we're living in a dream? Aren't we going to live our lives the same way, regardless? Not necessarily, because there are lots of people out there who believe that they are awakened, they are enlightened, and they're trying to get the message out saying, hey, wake up from the dream, stop sleeping!
Are they always just using a metaphor here, or do they believe that they are free of The Matrix and want you to be free of the Matrix?
Just Like Jesus So it all comes down to maybe we should listen to these people. Maybe there's something to learn. Maybe we can truly wake up. Maybe we are not victims of matter. Maybe we can live like Jesus did. Was Jesus awake or asleep? He was changing his reality all around him. Even death couldn't keep him. He rose others from the dead. Is this really a way we can live our lives if we wake up from this dream? That's why this matters.
Because if you want to continue living your life just in this dream, then no, this doesn't matter for you. But if you believe that there is some power on the other side of being awake, this does matter.
