You've probably heard me and Kay talk about Everything Is Awesome and our concept called Holy Fire. Now, what does that mean in parenting? How can we teach these cool concepts to our kids, live them out, and help them live them out?

All Things Work Together for Good Let's start with a quick little recap about what it means that Everything Is Awesome. It means that when we feel that things are not good in our life, we are misinterpreting them.

The Bible says all things work together for good. Transurfing teaches the concept that Our World Is Watching Out For Us.

One of the deepest truths throughout spirituality is that everything is already perfect. You are already perfect, and your situation is already perfect. We need to raise our frequency and perspective to the level where we can see that everything is perfect. So we spend our days looking for evidence that everything is perfect. Everything is the way we choose to be, and everything is the way we want it to be.

The World Is Safe If you are a parent, you'll want this for your kids. You'll want your kids to understand everything is working out for them. Kids' emotions quickly switch between incredibly happy and terribly sad, but we want them to be confident that their world is good and safe. They don't need to live in fear, and they don't need to live in sad emotions.

So this comes back to the concept of teaching them - but teaching them not just with words but through example.

So take a minute now to think about your life: In the last 24 hours, have you been teaching your kids through example that the world is safe, the world is good, you already have what you want, and you already are who you want to be?

Holy Fire Now let's talk about Holy Fire. Holy fire is another concept that we teach, which is very related.

C.S. Lewis talks about the fires of hell being God's love. Heaven and hell are the same place, but the difference is in our perspective. If we see God as good, then we're going to be able to see the truth, which is that we are in the bliss of heaven. But if we see God as bad or that God is our enemy, then we will feel like we are burning in the fires of hell.

Teach Kids Through Example The deeper part of this mystery is that heaven and hell are the same place - the world we live in. Your kids likely will not be able to understand this if you are trying to teach them with words. The concept will be over their heads, and they won't be able to get it right away.

So the tip I want to give you today is to teach them through example. Make sure that you are living out the truth that the world is safe, the world is good, and you are living in heaven right now on earth. It comes from practicing the attitude that comes from that perspective, because attitude is caught, not taught.

People Are Great at Imitating It isn't easy to teach an attitude towards life, but it's very easy to pick up an attitude. Kids are great at imitating, and people, in general, are great at imitating. Don't you act like the people around you? You'll likely find that you talk and act somewhat like the people around you.

So this awesome and empowering attitude will be spread to your kids and others through you living it out.
