ENMESHMENT is a dysfunctional state where two or more people have poor boundaries that can occur between a parent and child, whole families, or adult couples. 

They put on a MASK and played the character they had so carefully extracted from you. They very slowly broke down your boundaries, pushing against them to see how far they could go and what they could get away with. And very slowly they had eroded your boundaries, and you became dependent on them. Your identity was eroded.
