Transcript[00:00:00] Melissa Pang: Last week I was talking with one of our franchise, um, or with one of our franchisor members. And she reignited my love for franchising, which we know is an extreme love for franchising, but we were talking about the community that franchising is and just the, the network and the people within franchising who truly wanna help each other and, um, are so readily available and so willing to help each other out.
[00:00:39] A lot of times people look at franchising and they see these really large brands, um, and corporations and they think that's franchising. "It's just corporate." And, um, "I'm going to have to answer to this team. I can't be myself. It's not actually my business." And there's a lot of myths around it. But I don't, what people don't realize is franchising is made up of, of people and made up of individuals. And those people have each other's backs. Those people want to help each other out. You have franchises who have been in business for years and years now offering their time. Um, sometimes their money, resources to help more emerging brands, just getting started brands. Um, and you can see that there's these franchisors who have a wealth of knowledge and who have a lot of experience under their belt. They're so willing to share that information.
[00:01:52] There's plenty of events within franchising, where you can see this actually happening in front of you. Um, people connect, franchisors who've been in the business for so long willingly sharing information, What to do, What not to do, Things that they wish they had done better and they do it just, they, they just do it naturally.
[00:02:15] So again, me just talking about how much I love franchising, but there's, there's this massive community of people who are willing to help each other. And that is something that a lot of people see. So I encourage, uh, people to look into what franchising is and, and take a deeper dive on all levels, not just as a franchisee, but actually working within franchise brands, working inside franchise organizations. And there's a lot of great opportunity, great connections to be had.
