Welcome to Episode 2 of ‘The Men Who: Talk’. Today we’re joined by Marc Millar, the inspired mind behind Edinburgh Blue Balls, a weekly swim group giving men the chance to improve both mental and physical health in cold water environments. Since setting up Marc and the group have captured the hearts, minds and balls of men and women across Edinburgh and even gained an international following through their activities. In this episode John and Marc discuss their mental wellbeing experiences, how Edinburgh Blue Balls came to life and why dunking your junk at the same time as 20 other guys can help overcome the fear of cold water immersion. Marc’s story is a powerful one and what he’s created has helped so many men gain a sense of community in the most unlikely of ways. It was awesome to hear this from him first hand and the hope is that many of you - male or female - will be inspired to dust off your budgies and get into the sea.
