I recently had the privilege of speaking to former Amazon worker, now labor union organizer Chris Smalls. I spoke to Chris while he was in the midst of organizing for his campaign to unionize the Staten Island Amazon facility.

Since our interview, on 1 April, workers at the JFK8 fulfilment centre in Staten Island, New York voted 2,654-2,131 in favor of the union of becoming the first Amazon facility in the US to be officially unionised. Chris is a force of nature, a passionate person and is someone with an enormous amount of conviction.
