Queen Charlotte, one of the Bridgeton story is an emotional and intriguing piece. It highlights mental health struggles, societal roles and responsibilities, identity, and the power of choice. The biggest highlight for us is how Queen Charlotte shows what choosing someone looks like despite their baggage and the power of partnership.

When the son to Queen Charlotte confesses that he's afraid, the Queen asks him why is he afraid? He says he is afraid that he is not going to love the wife to be and this is what the Queen says:

‘Love is not a thing one is able or not able to do based on some magic, some chemistry, that is for plays. Love is determination, love is a choice one makes, you take someone in marriage and you chose to love them, you don't give yourself any other option, because marriage is difficult, full of pains and being royal can be lonely.’
