Patients sometimes cannot find answers in conventional medicine, and often people want a deeper understanding of their health. Dr. Lisa Bryant joins the podcast today to unpack her integrative approach to health care for men, women and children. Dr. Lisa is a naturopathic physician and the medical director at Vancouver Wellness studio where she collaborates with other providers to provide whole-person care.
Dr. Bryant explains how this collaboration works and gives examples of patients who have benefited from this integrative approach. We also answer a common question about whether patients need to choose between conventional or naturopathic medicine.
We also talk about Dr. Lisa’s “Bottom of the Pyramid” which helps us create the most stability in our bodies, and how taking incremental steps can lead to bigger changes over time. By approaching the changes in phases, it creates an environment of sustainability and a higher chance of success. She says, “What is this person ready for? And what should be the next step?”
Dr. Bryant has also had her own private practice before coming to the Vancouver Wellness Studio and offers advice for someone starting their own wellness practice. It’s important to think about what problem you’re solving, and what your community needs. And above all, help people in the best way you know how.
