Recently Portugal passed a law that makes it illegal for a superior to contact their employee in any manner outside of office hours. The goal of the new labor law is to give remote workers better work/life balance. Another rule being implemented includes banning employers from monitoring employees at home. Is this a new or continuing trend? What does this mean for the US, if anything?
