Also known as the Louisiana Purchase Exposition, it was an international exposition held in St. Louis, Missouri from April 30 to December 1, 1904. The fair was the last major international exposition before World War I and celebrated the centennial of the Louisiana Purchase and the exploration of the new territory by Meriwether Lewis and William Clark.
