I must be losing their minds right now. Or should that be mind? I always feel like there's only one moderator on Twitter who's trying their best to moderate the billions of shouty shouty voices on there. But there's only so much moderate and so much shouty shouty out there. The reason they're losing their minds is Elon Musk. He is a signature or two away from collecting the card that is Twitter on the giant monopoly board he calls Earth. He is a self declared free speech. Absolute is to say anything, anything at all about anyone within the law, of course. So that's fair enough, although there is the question of which laws as it is an international platform. So there are a lot of laws to navigate a different countries on. A lot of cases have been fought to protect the identity of the twitters in the past. So what lies ahead for the moderators if he'll, unless the brakes of the truth is, he probably want her at least will find himself restricted by a lot of regulation that governments are trying to bring in relation to anonymity online. On the one hand, this can reduce the amount of hate speech out there. On the other hand, it does to how the hands of those trying to protest cover governments while hiding behind random online handles like Boo the government. Where? What else will moderators be doing? Dear Keith, look forward to the challenge ahead. Yes, there are more than one of us. The U has recently provisionally agreed to institute the Digital Services Act, where online services will be forced to be transparent about activities on assessed and mitigate the harms their products may cause. Wow, when I said I look forward to the challenge ahead, I do not. That was a lie. I quit their moderators. I'm surprised you lasted this long, but well done. I'm sure Dylan will whip up an algorithm to replace moderators anyway and spot anything remotely outside the legal bounds of harassment. Because who needs people when you have code
