the Large Hadron Collider is about to be turned back on. I'm very much a science fiction fan, and so ever since there was talk of a massive 20 miles circular do being built in Switzerland to make important scientific discoveries, I kept the line because it's the sort of thing that should feature in all manner of movies about a villain taking over the world by building a large tube underneath mountains that could change how we think about the universe. It's part of a mission to discover the nature of dark matter, which makes up 30% of the matter energy composition of the universe. And yet we only know about it through its gravitational attraction. So, no, we don't know anything about it. I did a gig into naval once where the collider is, and I met some of the young scientists working there, and they were so young. When you look at the policeman of doctor and think they're young, but then realised they have the power to potentially tear a hole in the time space continuum because that's what could happen. I was in Geneva just before they turned on the collider for the first time on, the young physicist seemed to be drinking quite a lot, and I asked them where they worried about what could happen. And then they laughed and drank a lot more Thekla and is about to be turned on again by CERN. Dear Keith. The last time we turned on the flight, we found particles that could not be explained by the standard model of particle physics has been around since the seventies. We looked at the decay of particles called beauty corks, which seem to turn into something called humans 50% less than electrons. There could be a new force tipping the scales. We aren't sure yet. There have been results from Fermilab in America that indicate there could be another force of nature. If there is, we go back to the drawing board to find it. Dear Service. With all scientific breakthroughs, it's hard to know what will heal. But that's half the fun. The history of science is full of happy accidents, insulin and X rays. So go forth with the positively charged hearth and try not to destroy the universe.
