Our podcast guest this week is Katie Syrett. Katie is a women's health physio based in South Manchester. In fact, she is also my women’s health physio.

She is a wonderful woman, warm, practical and has made a massive difference to me and lots of women I know. I had symptoms for a long time before I did anything about it. Wishing and hoping that it would resolve on its own. It didn’t. After getting some help, I started to speak about it with friends and clients. It has been so shocking and upsetting to hear other peoples stories, what so many of us are coping with. We need to talk about it more.

Katie is brilliant, in this episode we cover;

Katie's experience and why she started working in women’s health

Katie's birth experience and we briefly talk about back to back labour

The physical changes that you will experience in pregnancy

When you should seek some extra support with your pelvic floor

Advice for all women after giving birth

What to expect from a session with a women’s health physio

The main thing to take away from this is that it is never too late to get help, you can make huge changes and see a big difference in your symptoms.
