Perast is a town in Montenegro on the shores of the Bay of Kotor. Like other shoreline towns, it is stretched out between the water and the sea, but there is a solitary church perched above it on the hill. Perast is also a starting point for the multi-day walking trail to the Black Mountain which gives Montenegro its name.
