In this episode of Very Human, we sit down with Mike Ade. A professional basketball player, activist, and social conscious maven who uses his passion for photojournalism to document human stories. 

Recorded in summer of 2021, our conversation features a gamut of subject matters – highlighting the individual and collective plight of participating in a movement that was the epicenter of the worlds attention in 2020 and continues to be a focal point today. 

Mike graciously gives us insight into his POV as a black man in America. Navigating an unjust system with the ambition to amplify the communities voice along with bringing awareness to other societal challenges. 

His intellect, calmness, and openness to seek the truth aids in his position in staying mentally, psychically, and spiritually equipped.
