Welcome to our transformative series, inspired by the wisdom found within the sacred scriptures. As we delve into the realm of mental health, we are reminded of the profound words penned in 2 Corinthians 12:8–10. In this passage, the apostle Paul shares his own struggles and the revelation he received from God: "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." It is through our weakness that God's strength shines, offering solace and hope amidst our mental health battles.

In Psalm 34:18, we find reassurance in the comforting words, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." It is in our moments of despair and vulnerability that God's presence is most palpable, providing a source of solace and renewal. Together, we discover that even in our darkest hours, there is light to be found in the divine embrace.

Furthermore, 2 Corinthians 1:3–4 reminds us of the compassionate nature of God: "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." We are called to extend the comfort we have received from God to others who may be facing similar struggles, fostering a community of empathy and support.

Through this series, we seek to intertwine these sacred teachings with the importance of seeking professional counseling. We recognize that while God and Jesus play a pivotal role in our emotional and spiritual healing, they have also blessed us with the gift of professional counselors who are equipped to guide us through the complexities of mental health episodes. In merging faith and professional counseling, we create a harmonious approach to holistic well-being.

Join us as we embark on this transformative journey, grounded in the timeless wisdom of Scripture and complemented by the invaluable insights of mental health professionals. Together, we can discover the healing power of faith and professional counseling, drawing strength from God's grace and embracing the tools provided for our mental health journey.

Subscribe now and let us embark on a path of healing, resilience, and unwavering faith. May the divine wisdom of Scripture and the expertise of professional counseling guide us towards the abundant life that God intends for us all.

The mentality of leaders can be modeled in books, YouTube videos, and other paid courses. The problem that many individuals have is that these models are rooted to the author’s viewpoint. A bias that complicates a potential leader’s effectiveness.

This is why Jesus is a great model for leadership. His teachings and examples are general enough to follow, but flexible and specific to the individual.

If you know your Lord of the Rings, you know that the hands of a king is the hands of a healer. Well, the hands of a leader is also to build their teams up. It is teams that create success for a company, a church or any organization.

This is what makes God and Jesus such great leaders. If you read the Old Testament, God used a team of prophets to create change on Earth. In the New Testament, Jesus organized a team that would not only grow with him, but build the ministry further after his death.

For many of the faithful, the 2020 decade is really a test of faith. Job loss, medical care and even unexpected death has changed our family units this holiday season. Well, an unexpected pregnancy had Mary and Joseph change their plans, and completely change history.

Even when they've been on the calendar all year, the holidays can  sometimes take us by surprise. In fact, even the first Christmas started  with a change of plans. No matter what you're facing, you can approach  it full of peace, hope, and love.

This is what this last message in our series on our Ghosts of Christmas Past is about, labels. Labels in society are the norm. We label our friends, family, and co-workers. We have best friends. We work with a good co-worker. Some of us have an OK family. Beyond just the closeness of our inner circle, we label others. We do it to judge a person without knowing said individual. In fact, the labels we bestow on others is really judgment of their actions, looks, and even social media postings.

For many, the most wonderful time of the year isn't so wonderful. A   painful past or our own insecurities can overshadow the joy we’re   supposed to be feeling during Christmas. What if this year could look   different? It’s time to let God heal the Ghosts of Christmas Past.

Shame is a powerful tool in the enemy’s chest. What shame does to us is to equate a bad event to our own personality. Sometimes the event is minor. Sometimes it is a major issue. Either way, shame is based on our perception of perfection.

What if I told you that being offended is serious business for the enemy? He is looking to have you be offended when with your family, friends and the world. Being offended can turn festive family dinners into a verbal battlefield. Offense breaks bonds of friendship. In the worst case, divide families further.

However, learning from Job's plight, we can learn that our grudge against God is in need of removal. Forgiving God, like He forgives us, is an important part of removing The Grudge.

We have a tendency to carry painful parts of our past with us: resentment against people who’ve hurt us, mistakes we’ve made, or even bitterness toward God. This series will show attenders how to recognize the grudges they’re carrying against others and themselves, and how the pain we hold on to weighs us down and keeps us from stepping into the freedom that God has for us.

We know that churches can be toxic, but did you know that religion is prone to being toxic? Since religion is a construct of man, man's influence, strengths and faults are bound to religion. Where the root comes from is our secular world, where woke and "the religion of science" has taken over the primary ideals behind our society. We forgot how to speak to each other without yelling and closing our ears.

This season closes with a look at how toxic our world has become, and why faith in God, above all else, can get us back to center.

Tenerife was a major wakeup call for the commercial airline industry. Cockpit environments changed, making both pilots equals when the safety of the aircraft is concern.

Jesus created a Tenerife-level event with his teachings and crucifixion. Over the years, the co-pilot aspect of God and Jesus has turned into a life-ordering level. This is not the correct view, even though Jesus has stated, "He is the way." But, if you look at the Bible, both God and Jesus are always with you.

“If I were the devil I’d soon have families that war with themselves, churches at war with themselves, and nations at war with themselves; until each in its turn was consumed. And with promises of higher ratings I’d have mesmerizing media fanning the flames. If I were the devil I would encourage schools to refine young intellects, but neglect to discipline emotions — just let those run wild, until before you knew it, you’d have to have drug sniffing dogs and metal detectors at every schoolhouse door.

“Within a decade I’d have prisons overflowing, I’d have judges promoting pornography — soon I could evict God from the courthouse, then from the schoolhouse, and then from the houses of Congress. And in His own churches I would substitute psychology for religion, and deify science. I would lure priests and pastors into misusing boys and girls, and church money.

"If I were the Prince of Darkness, I’d want to engulf the whole world in darkness. And I’d have a third of its real estate, and four-fifths of its population, but I wouldn’t be happy until I had seized the ripest apple on the tree — Thee.  So I’d set about however necessary to take over the United States. I’d subvert the churches first — I’d begin with a campaign of whispers. With the wisdom of a serpent, I would whisper to you as I whispered to Eve: ‘Do as you please.’

To the young, I would whisper that ‘The Bible is a myth.’ I would convince them that man created God instead of the other way around. I would confide that what’s bad is good, and what’s good is ‘square.’ And the old, I would teach to pray, after me, ‘Our Father, which art in Washington
’

And then I’d get organized. I’d educate authors in how to make lurid literature exciting, so that anything else would appear dull and uninteresting. I’d threaten TV with dirtier movies and vice versa. I’d pedal narcotics to whom I could. I’d sell alcohol to ladies and gentlemen of distinction. I’d tranquilize the rest with pills."

Power and control are two separate ideas. If you look into the Bible, and we are using the Message translation, the word power, and its root and branches, are embedded in 216 versus 223 times. On the contrary, control is seen in 36 verses 36 times, a one-to-one ratio.

If their desire to control is great, they begin losing power. In contrast, powerful people, who wish never to control others, are very powerful in speech and actions.

There are some people that just seem to suck the life out of us. Some are endlessly needy. Some are just hypocrites. We know we’re supposed to love them, but honestly, sometimes it’s just plain difficult. In this series, we’ll be putting a name to this type of person: Relational Vampires. We’ll recognize that these people are all around us draining our energy, and that it’s easy to fall under their spell and become vampires ourselves. Instead of running from or fighting with these vampires, though, we will learn how God can use us to bring love into their lives.
