Next Generation Leaders celebrates the achievements of young alumni of the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication. In this episode we talk to Jonathan Booker '17, a sports and lifestyle photographer working in Los Angeles, California.

Jonathan Booker graduated in 2017 from the SOJC with a BA in journalism. As a student we was a Freelance Production Assistant at Pac-12 Networks, and later began working as a freelance sports photographer and videographer with College Level Athletics. He also took photographs for the Oregon News Lab, a live-television course and program offered by the SOJC.

As a photographer based in LA, He has worked with big-name brands and clients, including G-Star Raw Jeans, Jaden Smith, and Tyler Cole.

In this podcast, recorded in spring 2021, Jonathan describes how he built his business and professional reputation as a freelance photographer, and what it's like to work on high-profile projects.
