It’s amazing what the teacher profession can prepare us for. It reminds me of what my 4 year old daughter asked me one day, “Why do teachers know everything?” And in her sweet, honest question, I had to laugh a bit, but also think to myself, “We do know a heck of a lot! We are prepared for life once we work with young minds.”
On this week’s podcast episode of Weight Loss for Teacher Moms, I had the pleasure of speaking with a long time friend, Michelle Walsh, a former educator and mom of 5 amazing girls. Michelle is still teaching, but in a bit of a different space. She provides intuitively and divinely led coaching to so many fortunate people and also has created this nurturing community where women can come together and offer their gifts to one another.
Michelle is the founder of My Village Well, and hosts in-person retreats, group coaching, and one-on-one sessions. She’s lost 100 pounds through Weight Watchers and shares with us some of the take-aways that she’s come across. One of my fondest memories of her as my leader was when she taught us the importance of having grace with ourselves. As she puts it in today’s episode, “Every muck up is an opportunity for learning.”
